Northern White Pine

Northern or Eastern White Pine- Pinus Strobus
This is the most valuable of all softwoods in North America and is well suited for pattern making, millwork, carving, high class joinery, cabinet making, wood turning, musical instruments and a host of other applications. It machines well with very little dulling on the cutters. It also paints, stains and finishes very well. NWP is dimensionally stable and moderately rot resistant and is a favorite among pattern makers and all woodworkers.
Lumber is available in a variety of grades from Clear to character/knotty and in thicknesses of 4/4 thru 8/4.
